Hario Filter-in Bottle

This product is popular among tea enthusiasts in Japan.

I had seen it before, but I hadn’t used one until now.

It consists of a glass bottle and a removable plastic spout with a filter.

The idea is to use it for cold brewing tea. It’s also heat resistant, but I’ve never used it with hot water.

Since it’s shaped like a wine bottle, it adds an elegant touch. Indeed, some people serve their tea from this bottle into wine glasses.

It has a capacity of 750 ml, the same as a standard wine bottle.

There are different colors available, but I like the olive green because it looks good with green tea.

With this product, I prepare sencha in the following way: 7 teaspoons of sencha and 750 ml of cold water. Then I leave it overnight, which in my case is 8 hours.

If you’re in a hurry you can cold brew in 2 hours, but the tea will have a lighter flavor. In that case, you may want to add more tea leaves.

So far I have found it very convenient. Before this I just used a jar, but it was a bit of a hassle to filter the tea leaves at the end.
