Matcha Chocolate Kit Kat

Matcha Kit KatThis chocolate bars are made by Nestle in Japan.

Not only do they have matcha, it is from Uji!

They come in a package with 12 mini bars and look very tasty.

Matcha Kit Kat back sideAt the back, the bars have a white space for you to write something. It’s a nice touch if you will give it as a small gift for someone.

When I opened it, I could feel the white chocolate aroma.

Matcha Kit Kat openedThe bars have a wafer inside, so they are a little crunchy. They taste sweet, and the white chocolate flavor definitely overpowers the green tea.

I still liked it, though. Next time I’ll have one with a bowl of matcha 🙂

This candy is great for Japanese tea lovers. If you want to give it a try, here’s the Amazon link.

I just picked up some of these from an Asian market. Matcha is my weakness. A rare treat 🙂

      Hi Nicole

I’m a matcha lover too. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find anything with matcha in my country, but I’m trying to change that.

A couple of years ago, a friend in Japan sent me a green tea KitKat that looked like this, but it also had ‘Sakura’ flavoured filling in the wafer part. It was yummy! Now I’m curious to dig up the photos I took of it. I wish I had another one!

I must agree with you on the point that the white chocolate does overpower the flavour of the matcha quite strongly. Otherwise it is a delicious quick bite!

      Hi Lu Ann

I bought it at Japan town in San Francisco, but it’s easy to find on Amazon from the US, hopefully in Canada it is also available.
